Happy 200th birthday Charles Dickens! 07.02.12 14:42

February celebrates Charles Dickens' bicentenary. He had many important connections with Medway and during the next few weeks we want to mark this special occasion.

On display, in the foyer area, is a small collection of items from the Dickens Theatre Collection, which are on loan from the University of Kent Special Collections. They reflect the influence of Charles Dickens on literature, art, music, theatre and cinema. More items from this collection are also on display at the Templeman Library at the University of Kent.

Alongside the display are details of local events happening this week, and a selection of books related to Dickens. So, please pop along and spend a few moments learning more about this influential writer.
