Students and staff from other Higher Education institutions and M25 access
This section provides information on how to join the Drill Hall Library if you are a member of staff or a student at another university. It also provides information for staff and researchers from eligible M25 consortium member institutions.
The Universities at Medway partnership institutions are members of the M25 Consortium of Academic Libraries (M25 Consortium).
The scheme provides eligible members access to higher educational libraries in and around the London area, including the Drill Hall Library.
You will need to apply for an M25 Consortium membership card at your home library.
If you are visiting the Drill Hall Library under this scheme you will need to bring a valid M25 Consortium membership card, your home institution ID/library card and a passport-sized photograph. We will ask you to complete our registration form and to sign in at reception.
The scheme provides for limited borrowing of five ordinary loan items from stock held at the Drill Hall Library but excludes other categories of loans and access to e-resources. Books with locations other than Medway, ie Avery Hill and Maritime Greenwich, are not available for you to borrow.
During your membership you will be subject to the Drill Hall Library’s rules and are responsible for any debts or charges incurred.
Please consult our opening hours and our catalogue before you visit. Registration is only available between 9am and 8.30pm Monday to Friday, and 11am and 4.30pm at the weekend. During periods of extended opening M25 users are required to leave the library by 12pm.
