Universities at Medway students can borrow a total of 20 items on their library account. Most items can be issued on our self-service machines, but certain items (such as inter-library loans, dissertations, Augustine House items and study loans) will need to be collected and issued from the Welcome Desk.
Most items are four-week loans or 7-day loans. Some items are reference, which means that they can only be used in the library.
All items on our shelves are listed on our catalogue. For details of how to use it, see the information on using the library catalogue.
Books borrowed at the Drill Hall Library, Avery Hill and Stockwell Street libraries
Most books and other items can be returned to any of the University of Greenwich libraries using the self-service machines. At the Drill Hall Library, this is done via the book sorter, located to the left of the Welcome Desk.
Please note that Medway campus University of Kent or Canterbury Christ Church University students and staff who wish to access the Stockwell Street library will need to join SCONUL Access in advance of their visit. No access will be permitted without SCONUL Access membership documentation and your home institution ID card.
Please note that books borrowed through our Document Supply service (including books sent from the University of Kent or Canterbury Christ Church University) must be returned to the Welcome Desk.
Charges are levied for the late return of books - it is very important to ensure that you return or renew your books in time.
Books borrowed in person from other University of Kent or Canterbury Christ Church University libraries
Please return these books through the book sorter. Don't forget that it takes a few days for books to get back to their home library and they will remain on your account until this time. Fines are charges at the rate set by the issuing library.
Any books borrowed using our Document Supply service must be returned to the Welcome Desk.
