Universities at Medway students are entitled to borrow a total of 16 items on their library account. Most items can be issued on our self-service machines, but certain items (such as inter-library loans, dissertations and study loans) will need to be collected from the Welcome Desk and issued to you by the staff there.
Many items are available to borrow for four weeks (ordinary loans). Others are identified as 7-day loans (also known as short loans) or overnight loans. Some items are for reference, which means that they can only be used in the library where they are located.
All items on our shelves are listed on our catalogue. For details of how to use it, see the information on using the library catalogue.
All students and staff at the Universities at Medway are entitled to a library account.
Students taught on the Medway campus are automatically registered at the beginning of their course and can use their student ID card as their library card.
Universities at Medway staff need to register for a staff library account.
University of Greenwich partner college and distance-learning students should see the joining information provided by the University of Greenwich support pages.
Other people who use the library can find out how to register for an account in the information for visitors and external users.
Your library account is available 24/7 and can be accessed online through our library catalogue. Log in by clicking My Library Account and entering your borrower number as described on the page. This gives access to your account information including when your items are due back.
