Universities at Medway students can borrow a total of 40 items on their library account. Most items can be issued on our self-service machines, but certain items (such as inter-library loans obtained via the document delivery service) will need to be collected and issued from the Helpdesk. Borrowing requires your student or staff ID card, which is also required for entry to the library.
Most items are four-week loans or 7-day loans. Some items are reference, which means that they can only be used in the library.
All items on our shelves are listed on our catalogue. For details of how to use it, see the information on using the library catalogue.
All students and staff at the Universities at Medway are automatically entitled to use the Drill Hall Library. Your Drill Hall account will be shared with the other libraries at your university.
Students taught on the Medway campus are automatically registered at the beginning of their course and can use their student ID card as their library card.
Universities at Medway staff need to register for a staff library account at the Helpdesk using their institutional ID. CCCU staff will need to apply for a library account online first.
University of Greenwich partner college and distance-learning students should see the joining information provided by the University of Greenwich support pages.
Other people who use the library can find out how to register for an account in the information for visitors and external users.
Your library account is available 24/7 and can be accessed online through your university LibrarySearch by logging in with your university username and password. Click My Account to access your account information including when your items are due back.
