Library Opening Hours
Our opening hours change periodically throughout the year. To ensure you're looking at the right dates please be sure to check our opening hours page.
Accessing the Library
Once you have joined the library you will need your Staff ID card or your Universities at Medway library card (depending on which University you are employed by) to obtain access to the library and to borrow items.
Your personal Drill Hall Library Account - What does it include?
As a member of staff your borrowing entitlement is for up to 24 items (16 for visiting lecturers).
Loan periods for items are dependent on the type of book/item borrowed. For Ordinary loans the staff loan period is one calendar year. For Short loans the loan period is 7 days. Reference material and periodicals are not for loan.
My Account
You can check your Library account on line with My Account. From the Library homepage select the Search the Library Catalogue link on the left and then select the My Account link at the top of the screen. Enter your library membership number which you can find on your library card into the box provided and click on logon.
Our Catalogue
All items held, with the exception of newspapers, are included on the Universities at Medway Library Catalogue which can be accessed 24 hours a day.
You can also reserve items, including books from other sites using the library catalogue by clicking on the reserve icon above the book details and following the prompts.
The library uses the Dewey Decimal Classification system.

Book renewals can be made on line through My Account. Alternatively you can telephone us on 01634 883278 or visit the library Welcome Desk.
Electronic Resources
A range of electronic resources are available for you and your students. Please contact your Academic Support Librarian for further details and training.
Photocopying, OHTs, Heat Binding, Laminating, Poster printing
