Your University email account will be a vital resource throughout your time studying with your chosen University. It will be used by lecturers to contact you, to remind you of upcoming University events, and from the Library to announce the availability of reserved/requested books as well as overdue and under-due reminders. You should enter the habit of checking your email account regularly.

Your University email system is called Google Mail and can be accessed via the Student Portal.

Email Quotas
Everyone is assigned an email quota for storing emails. Once you quota limit is reached you will no longer be able to send emails so it is important to delete messages which are no longer needed.
Mail Forwarding
University of Kent and University of Greenwich students can configure email so that messages are automatically forwarded to another account, such as your Hotmail or Googlemail account.
