What do I need to do

On your first visit to the Drill Hall you will need to bring your Medway Library Services Card with you to gain entry. You are welcome to look round to see what we have to offer, however if you decide that you would like to visit again you would need to register with us so that we can issue you with a Universities at Medway Library membership card. Please note that PC Access is not available on a first visit as library registration is required before access is permitted.

To Register with us you will need to bring with you:

  • Your Medway Library Services card
  • A second form of identification with your address on it
  • A passport sized photograph

We will ask you to complete a registration form and sign to confirm acceptance of the Drill Hall Library rules. We will then issue you with a Universities at Medway Library card and a Drill Hall Library Information Leaflet.

Please note that if you choose Borrower Status, your membership card will be ready for collection 48 hours after you have completed your registration form. This is to enable your personal account to be set up. Payment will be due when you collect your card.

Subsequent visits once you have registered and received your Library card

You will need to bring your Universities at Medway Library card with you on every visit and sign in at Reception in order to gain entry to the Drill Hall Library.

If you would like to use one of our 4 Public PCs then please take your Universities at Medway Library card to the Library Counter and one of the staff will log you on. You will also need to advise the Library Counter when you have logged off.
