Wireless network

Connect your laptop or mobile device to our wireless network. Available throughout the library.

Alternatively, borrow one of our loan laptops. More information here.

 

Your laptop should automatically pick up a signal to the eduroam network. Before connecting, you will need your university IT account and your laptop should have current anti-virus software and the latest security updates. For details of how to configure your laptop pick up a guide in the library or download below.


Printing

For information about printing from your laptop or smartphone to a printer in the Drill Hall see the links below:

  • University of Greenwich - coming soon
  • University of Kent
  • Canterbury Christ Church University - not yet available

Wireless printing is only available to the printer in the foyer, next to the cafe.


Security essentials

Before connecting your laptop to the eduroam wireless network you must protect it from viruses and other threats. At a minimum, if you are running Windows 7, Vista or XP we recommend you install Microsoft Security Essentials

For Mac OS X 10.4 and above you can download Sophos Home Edition for free.
