The safest place to store your work is on the network. Files are backed up daily.
You can access your network folder by clicking on Start, Computer icon and selecting the drive as follows:
University of Greenwich - G: drive;
University of Kent - Z: drive; or
Canterbury Christ Church - N: drive.
If you are using MS Office and click Save, the computer will automatically save to your 'Documents' folder. This is directed to your network folder and is the same location as above.
WARNING! Always select Save As if working from an email attachment.
Your network drive will appear on the desktop as a shortcut and in the dock as a globe icon. In any save window click the desktop button in the finder sidebar to access your network drive
Local profiles will delete every seven days so it's important you save work on the network drive and not local folders
